The new Absinthe 5 Bass by Bootlegger Guitars is a Pro bass at a Working Musician's price. Our Absinthe 5 sports a 5 piece laminate maple neck, 35 1/4" scale, with approximately a 14" radius.
We choose EMG active jazz pickups for their balanced tone and quiet operation, with volume, balancer, tone controls. We also went with a monorail bridge system which works beautifully, and is easy to set action and intonation, and our headstock has our own string locking system.
Tuning is done at the bridge as this is a headless bass system. The battery for the EMG's is easy to change with a battery box on the back of the swamp ash body.
