The Naked Gater 20 Watt Tube Combo Amp is a hand-wired masterpiece, crafted exclusively for Bootlegger Guitar by Ken Kim Muse in South Korea. This amp is a shining example of top-notch engineering, the result of a collaborative design between Ken and me. We we wanted a clean, chime amp that, when you crank up the gain, would unleash a natural tube crunch—perfect for blues and blues rock.
But here’s the cool part: the built-in drive effect gently pushes the tubes into a medium distortion, making the amp versatile enough to suit all sorts of music. For example, if you’re into death metal, you can use a pedal in front of the amp to really push that clean sound into tube madness.
The gain control is a push-pull pot, which is great because it lets you adjust the drive effect. When the pot is up (Gain off), it controls how much drive you want. When it’s fully disengaged (Gain on), it regulates the gain input, boosting the analog crunch from the tubes. You can also tweak the guitar’s volume to fine-tune the drive level. The Naked Gator also comes with a full EQ and a deep, luscious analog spring reverb.
